EXPECT GOVERNMENT DECISION ON COMMITTEE REPORT ON UPGRADE OF OBAS SOON -GOV. ABIODUN.

The Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has opened up on the report of the committee set up to look into the upgrade and  promotion of Obas by the immediate past administration of Ogun State with an assurance of equity and justice whenever the government decision is ready.

The governor stated this while addressing the meeting of the Council of Obas held at the conference hall complex Oke-Mosan Abeokuta.

Governor Abiodun informed the Obas that the committee report has been received and consultation has been made while the decision arrived at by the state government will soon be made public.

“The committee set up to review the promotion and upgrade of some Obas has submitted its report. I’m assuring you that the decision would soon be made public and it will be based on justice fairness and equity”, the Governor said.

Highlighting the achievements of his administration in the last four months the Governor promised to uphold the tenet of good governance of participatory and effectiveness for the betterment of the citizens of the state

Also speaking at the occasion, the chairman Ogun State Council of Obas His royal majesty Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo stated that the meeting has given them the opportunity to interact with the Governor which he believed would make it possible for the royal fathers to contribute effectively towards the development and progress of the state.

Earlier in his welcome address, the secretary to the state government Mr.Tokunbo Talabi appealed to the traditional fathers to cooperate with government in achieving its set goals by maintaining their roles as father and stakeholders in the business of sustaining progress and development in the state. He therefore solicited  their support for the government in resolving issues that borders on communal conflicts so as to create peace and harmony that would facilitate socio-economic  development in their various domains.
