You cannot reel out the names of Journalist cum publisher who are doing extremely well for themselves without not mentioning the name of Mr. Jimmy Enyeh, he is not your run of the mill publisher, neither is he a lazy top rank journalist, in equal measure, he has given a good account of himself in the binary balance as both a reporter and publisher.

The Urhobo, Delta State born versatile newshound is a long distance runner, who came into public glare as a result of his irresistible visibility in the soft sell genre of journalism in the 90s, he had a stint with other media organisations including City People, a successful soft sell in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Jimmy Enyeh

Enyeh is reputed for being cerebral, brilliant and friendly, he can give a good account of self on- and -off -cuffs, and his openness has attracted wide contact to him.

He has become one of the ‘Mogajis’ of Abuja journalism, and his NATIONAL WAVES newspaper often treads where angels fear to fly, an attribute of fearlessness.

When I was editor of the paper more than a decade ago, the paper ruffled quite some feathers in some quarters, exposed sleazes, corruption and abuse of office in high places and in corporate Nigeria.
Because of the paper’s reputation of fearlessness, many with authoritative information often obliged Mr. Enyeh after rigorous investigations would splash the juicy scoop front page. This often brought uncomfortable fears and uncertainty and threats of death and lawsuits. Standing on truth, he would call the bluff of those miffed by story, asking them to go to blazes.
How did he manage to bring out the paper weekly, and the monthly glossy magazine? This is precisely where Enyeh mystique confounds.
A dogged fighter, even when many titles were going under, every Monday you would see NATIONAL WAVES on the newstands. One of the secrets is that many well wishers both high and low who respected his tenacity, courage and truth telling endorsed him, giving him encouragement.

Those who know Abuja media landscape years back would agree that Mr.Enyeh is a fighter.

As he added another year in few days, I wish him the best, best for a publisher with the tenacity of a hunting lion. He is a jolly good fellow.
