The plot by the suspended Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu to return to her position as the Minister has been nipped in the bud after 10 months of scheming.

President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday announced a replacement, Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda for the suspended Minister.

NATIONAL WAVES gathered that . Nentawe Yilwatda was the All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate for Plateau State during the 2023 general elections.

Sources squealed that Edu had tried albeit unsuccessful to get the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), issue a report absolving her of any wrong doing so she can be represented as a Ministerial nominee in the cabinet shakeup.

Betta Edu was suspended in January 2024 over the alleged diversion of more than N585 million of public money into a personal bank account.

A leaked memo dated December 20, 2023, exposed another scandal involving Dr Edu. She allegedly approved funds for flight tickets and airport taxis for her advanced team to travel for an event in Kogi; a state with no airport.
