This is sad news emanating from Kaduna. It is about the demise of Dr. Faisal son of the former governor of Kaduna State, Ahmed Makarfi who died in an auto crash in the late hours of yesterday.
His demise was announced in a statement by Ibrahim Abdullahi, Manga, Ag. National Publicity Secretary, PDP on Saturday.
Abdullahi said,”With a heavy heart but total submission to Allah’s Will,the PDP wishes to commiserate with His Excellency Ahmed Mohammad Makarfi,CON (Secretary BOT,former Governor of Kaduna State and Chairman National Caretaker Committee over the sad demise this evening,of his son, Dr Faisal Ahmed Makarfi, in a car crash.”
He disclosed that “The funeral comes up in the morning in Makarfi town of Kaduna State
“While we beseech Allah Subahanahu Wata’ala for the repose of Faisal’s gentle soul,the PDP grieves with the entire family.
“The PDP prays Allah to provide the Makarfis with the fortitude to bear this huge loss”
A dependable source informef NATIONAL WAVES that the deceased was involved in an accident along Kaduna-Zaria highway on Saturday evening.
“The accident occurred along the Kaduna-Zaria highway in the evening. He was taken to an undisclosed hospital where he was confirmed dead. His father was at the hospital; his corpse has been conveyed home for burial arrangements.
Faisal, civil engineer by training, attended Kaduna International School and then proceeded to Adesoye College, Offa, Kwara State for his secondary education. He thereafter attended the University of Greenwich, London, for his first degree and master’s degree and enrolled for PhD at the same institution.
