The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced the appointment of Babajide Arowosafe as the new Managing Director and CEO of the Nigeria Incentive-Based Risk Sharing System for Agricultural Lending (NIRSAL) Plc.
This comes after the CBN dissolved the previous Board and Executive Management of NIRSAL on August 30, following an order from Central Bank Governor, Olayemi Cardoso.
In addition to Arowosafe’s appointment, the CBN has inaugurated a new board for NIRSAL.
The board members include:
– Mr. Muhammad Sani Abdullahi, Deputy Governor, Economic Policy, Central Bank of Nigeria, as Chairman
– Mallam Ado Wanka, Non-Executive Director
– Dr. Daphne Dafinone, Non-Executive Director
– Mr. Hamidu Sa’ad, Non-Executive Director
– Dr. Bankole Allibay, Non-Executive Director
– Hon. Shehu Balarabe, Non-Executive Director
