Two Lagos State retired civil servants have lambasted the management of the Stanbic IBTC Pension labelling it as fraudulent.
In a video made available to NATIONAL WAVES, the retired civil servants who were full of rage and visibly fustrated stated that the pension firm diverted their money and could not pay their pensions as at when due.
One of the men who adorned a blue coloured (babariga) native attire and spoke in Yoruba said while other pension companies paid pensioners, Stanbic IBTC Pension refused to pay and diverted their money.
He said ” Stanbic IBTC Pension Is a fraud. Please send it to all social media networks to enable Governor Sanwo Olu and others to know the kind of pension manager Stanbic IBTC Pension Is. Stanbic IBTC is not reliable”
The retiree who claimed to be an activist while in service said he was ready to go to any length to ensure Stanbic IBTC Pension pay their money which was long overdue.
“You don’t know me. I was an activist while in service, you cannot continue to use my money to trade while I starve. Pay me my money” he said.
“I’m ready for Stanbic IBTC Pension, you will lose all your customers in Lagos State because I will ensure I take it up with you”
He alleged that Stanbic IBTC Pension got the approval to pay pensioners two weeks ago but refused to pay
” Stanbic IBTC Pension wants to use our money to trade, it will never work. They got the approval two weeks ago and refused to pay our pensions. All those working for Stanbic IBTC Pension in Lagos are fraudsters” he said

He added that Crusader got same approval two weeks ago and paid.
” This is unfair, Crusader got same approval two weeks ago and paid everybody but Stanbic IBTC Pension Is trading with our money and has refused to pay us”
The man who seemed infuriated said ‘”the governor has ensured that all pensioners are paid as at when due but Stanbic IBTC Pension Is working against the governor’s directives.
“Yes the governor is trying his best to ensure that all pensioners get their money as at when due but Stanbic IBTC Pension Is working against this. It is unacceptable” He said with a note of finality.
Another retiree who was at the Stanbic IBTC Pension office as revealed in the video made available to NATIONAL WAVES corroborated the submission of the first speaker. He added that Stanbic IBTC Pension used their money to trade and declare profit at pensioner’s peril.
“We shall not condone this unholy act. Stanbic IBTC Pension used our money to trade and declare profit without paying us. It is fraudulent and unacceptable” He said.
