The Group Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of United Bank For Africa, Mr. Oliver Alawuba has said that the bank has over 25,000 staff and 35 million customers which served through multiple channels.
Alawuba disclosed this while speaking to newsmen at the bank’s 75th anniversary International Global Media Conference, which took place in Lagos.
“Today we have over 25,000 Staff, over 35 million customers served through multiple channels – over 350,000 POSterminals, 2,000 ATM terminals, 1,000 Business Offices and 19.7 million Card Customers.
Alawuba reflectef on UBA’s journey, achievements, and future aspirations on its 75th anniversary.
“UBA has a long history of men and women who contributed so much to creating the powerhouse financial services that we have here.
Without the visionary push and tutelage Mr. Tony Elumelu, we would not be where we are today”
“As we reflect on the significance of this epoch, it is important to remember that UBA means different things to all of us. A catalyst for financial development with a presence in 20 African countries. UBA is the first bank to be listed on the NSE” he said.
