A Nigerian barred from entering
Abuja Chinese supermarket

This seems incredible but it’s real. It about how the management of a Chinese supermarket situated at the China General Chamber of Commerce, along Umaru Musa Yar’Adua Road in Abuja, has barred Nigerians from shopping in the supermarket.
This much was first revealed via a video that has gone viral. A Nigerian had visited the supermarket to shop and was barred from accessing the supermarket. According to him, the security men told him only Chinese are allowed in the supermarket.
The supermarket is known for Chinese cuisine and beverages.
When NATIONAL WAVES reporter visted the supermarket on visited the supermarket Sunday, she was told by the security personnel at the gate that only Chinese are allowed in the supermarket.
The security men told her that management of the store gave the directive at the beginning of the year without giving reasons. Our Reporter’s car was not not allowed access to the supermarket.
The security said, “Management gave the directives at the beginning of the year. They said Nigerians should not be allowed to come into the Supermarket.
“Management said we should only allow Chinese citizens to enter the supermarket.
“Nigerians were allowed to come in throughout last year, but since January, they changed the policy and directed that no Nigerian is allowed to enter.
“We were not informed of any reason for the policy, but we have told them to remove all adverts from the Internet so that people would stop coming.”
