Osolo of Isolo, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka

The remains of the Osolo of Isolo in Lagos State, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka are presently being laid to rest at his Isolo residence as he died in a Lagos hospital this morning.
The monarch who spent 20 years on the throne died this morning at the age of 64.
NATIONAL WAVES gathered from a family member that Oba Agbabiaka yesterday complained of pain on the side of his stomach and was taken to the hospital. He reportedly died this morning and his funeral is currently underway. The family member simply known as Waheed said the news of the monarch’s death came a rude shock to family members.
He added that the deceased monarch would be buried according to Islamic rites.
Also confirming the death of the monarch, the The Chairman of Isolo Local Council Development Area, Olasoju Adebayo, said he had the permission of Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to announce the passing away of the monarch.
The statement read, “I have the instruction of the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to formally announce the passing of the paramount ruler of Isolo Kingdom, Oba Kabiru Agbabiaka, Adeola Olushi III, today April 10, 2024. He was aged 64.
“He will be buried today by 4pm at his palace, 3/5 Akinbaye Street, Isolo, according to Islamic rites. May his soul rest in peace.”
