Popular social media platforms – Facebook and Instagram have restored services hours after they shut down across the globe,
Users of the app had lamented the shutdown of the services on Tuesday.
Earlier check by our correspondent on multiple Instagram and Facebook accounts indicated users of the account could not access their accounts.
While Facebook required existing users to login to their accounts, Instagram account profiles of users and homepage could not be refreshed.
All of these have now been rectified and restored
