Cote d’Ivoire players celebrating their victory over Senegal

Cote d’Ivoire have qualified for the Quarter-finals of the Africa Nations Cup 2023 after defeating defending champion, Senegal.
After playing 1-1 at regulation time, Ivory Coast defeated Senegal 5-4 on Penalties.
Franck Kessie’s decisive kick helped the Elephants sealed their place for the quarter-finals after Mousaa Niakhate missed his kick for Senegal.
Senegal took the lead after only four minutes of the match through Habib Diallo’s volley from Mane cross.
Ivory Coast took possession of the game and equalised in the 86 minutes via penalty spot after Mendy fouled Pepe.
