For some months , the social media has been a wash with lots of allegations from House of Rep aspirant Ikeja Consistency Lagos – State. Mrs Toke Benson Awoyinka. She is battling to take over from Hon. Faleke. Her major grouse was that Hon. Faleke contested election in Kogi State and shouldn’t have returned to Lagos to recontest his seat as House of Reps. member representing Ikeja Constituency, Lagos. But she did not tell Lagosians if Hon. Faleke, resigned his position at the national Assembly while contesting the election in Kogi State. Is Toke Benson Awoyinka also aware that but for the Bad politics that APC national body played against the national leader, Ahmed Tinubu, Hon. Faleke would have been the Governor of Kogi State today?
How do you imagine INEC declaring an election inconclusive when Audu / Faleke were leading the PDP seating government in Kogi – State with about 41,000 votes, while the areas declared inconclusive had just 19,000 votes, but for bad politics against Tinubu by APC national body, a party Tinubu worked hard for, why will the party substitute the late Abubakar Audu for Yahaya Bello, who was just a runners up in the governorship election primaries.
Is Mrs Toke Benson aware of the fact that Hon. Faleke changed the tide of that election in Kogi. That in the two previous elections that Abubakar had contested in Kogi State he was unable to win Kogi West district. Hon. Faleke made it possible within 3 months of joining the race, they won 6 of 7 LGAs in Kogi West district, of Kogi State. Barr. Benson has benefitted a lot from Hon. Faleke and Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson even though; she never acknowledged It. Is on record that Barr. Benson has always sabotaged the party in state in other to have her way.
Let’s look at this, but for the blind loyalty of Hon. Faleke – to the leader of the party Bola Ahmed Tinubu, he would have remained in Kogi State and accept the position of the deputy governor of the State that he won. He was promised a juicy positions to persuade him to dump his Boss and the leader of the party Ahmed Tinubu, he never succumb to it. Aside all these, Hon. Faleke has brought a lot of developmental stride to Ikeja since he occupied that position at the national Assembly and has touched many lives through empowerment and job creation.
Toke Benson has not won any election, not even Party Primaries, when compared to the Hon. Faleke whose political structures cut across Lagos – State.
