It was celebration galore as the former American President, Barack Obama and his wife, Michelle, on Tuesday celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary.
Obama, sharing a photo of himself and his wife on his X (formerly Twitter), wrote, “Happy anniversary, sweetheart! #MichelleObama, you’re brilliant, kind, funny, and beautiful—and I’m lucky to call you mine.”
The former American first lady also shared a photo on her X (formerly Twitter) account, saying, “31 years, and a lifetime to go. I love going through life with you by my side, #BarackObama. Happy anniversary, honey!.”
They got married on October 3, 1992, at Trinity United Church of Christ in Chicago.
The duo first met in 1989 when Obama was a summer associate at a Chicago law firm and Michelle was his advisor.
