Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Edgai Imonihi has ordered the prosecution of Danish man, Mr. Peter Nielson who allegedly murdered his wife, Mrs Zainab Nielson and daughter, Petral Nielson. According to a statement signed by SP Chike Oti, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, he is expected to be slammed with a two- count charge of murder.
The CP directed that the case be charged to court based on findings of the crime scene detectives sent of the apartment of the Nielsons after the alleged murder was committed and the preliminary autopsy report and the result of the DNA analysis carried out by forensic experts.
He is expected to be taken to the Yaba Magistrate Court today where the case is expected to be mentioned and the trial for the offence of murder will commence.
Meanwhile, a duplicate copy of the murder case file was sent to the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice. Peter however pleaded not guilty to the two count charge of murder and was remanded in prison.
