ā€œI and many others queued up at the filling station around Ogba because the attendants told us they were expecting stock. I left after waiting for about two hours without any sign that they would soon get fuel,ā€ said one of the motorists.

A resident who spoke with our correspondent said the fuel scarcity has further worsened the traffic gridlock on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway following long queues at filling stations near Lagos.
ā€œIn the whole of my area around Berger, Arepo, Ibafo, there is no fuel. This is beside the fact that we have not had light for the past three days,ā€ the resident said.
It would be recalled that the scarcity started a few days ago but it got worse between Sunday and Monday morning,Ā  forcing motorists to spend long hours at filling stations.
The cause of the fuel shortage was as a result of disruption of supply to Independent marketers in the state.
