The Chairman-elect of Kaura Local Government, Hon. Simon Mathias has expressed “deep sorrow “following the killing of 37 persons by bandits in Madamai area of Kaura Local Government area, of Southern Kaduna.
“The death of the 37 persons is another tragic chapter in our current security challenges, but I assure the people of Kaura local government that my commitment to protect the lives and property of all Kauranias remains unwavering when I’m sworn into office, “the Chairman-elect stated.
“I’m saddened by the tragic loss of the 37 persons and other victims in kachechere and I wish to appeal to the people Kaura local government to help our security agencies with intelligence in order to track down and bring these terrorist gangs to justice, “he further stressed.
According to Hon. Mathias, “human intelligence is essential to the efforts to defeat these criminals, “those who work as informants for criminals are destroying their own communities for the sake of pittance financial gratification,”
Hon. Mathias said this during an interview with the Journalists in his country home, Kagoro. He prayed to Almighty God to repose the soul of the late 37 persons and give the families strength to bear the “very painful loss.”
