The Group Managing Director of Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), Mallam Mele Kyari, has disowned the 25 Facebook account opened in his name. He warned members of the public to beware of fraudsters impersonating him on Facebook as he does not operate an active Facebook account. He added that the last time he operated an active Facebook account was in 2015.
Kyari explained that he currently communicates with the public via his verified Twitter handle @MKKyari
The NNPC boss said ‘ Beware of anyone posing as Mele Kyari on Facebook. A simple Google search reveals over 25 Facebook accounts bearing Mele Kyari. I do not have an active Facebook account since 2015 and communicate with the public only on this verified twitter account. Beware of Fraudsters’
