Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello

The agitation for who becomes the Nigerian President in 2023 has officially began in Abuja with some elite Journalists drumming support for Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello.
The Journalists who came under the group, “Team Nigeria”, argued that North Central where Gov Bello represent has been marginalized under the current democratic dispensation since 1999.
The Journalists led by Comrade Bestman Nze- Jumbo observed that the governor had performed creditably in the area of security in Kogi State which was notorious for all form of criminality.
“Today, insecurity has weighed down the country.
“It has negatively impacted every segment of our economy like a virus  with everything at a standstill.
“But Yaya Bello has been able to tame insecurity in Kogi State”, he argued.
Bestman believed that Yaya Bello would make a good leadership having youthful age at his disposal.
However, a case was also made for the South East to have a shot at Nigerian Presidency in 2023.
The group advised leaders in the South East to put their house in order by agreeing on a common candidate under a formidable but l popular political party.
Some members of the group present at the Press Conference at the NUJ Press Centre are former Chairman of FCT Abuja Council Jacob Edi, former Assistant National Secretary and former FCT Council Chairman, Timothy Elerewe, Producer People’s Security radio programme, Isiaka Mustapha among others..
