Towards sensitising youth to demonstrate civil conducts at the polls come February 25th and March 11th election respectively, active youths in Eti-Osa organised youth summit to mobilise and caution young persons in the axis to be ambassador of peace as they exercise their franchise.

The Convener of debut Eti-Osa youth summit who doubles as the CEO Hamtajak Group of Companies Ahmed Tajudeen Akanbi said Eti Osa has the highest polling units, hence it is important to leverage on that privilege to deliver the candidates of APC from top to bottom. In his welcome address, he said;

“It is an honor to stand before you today at the Etiosa Youth Summit, an event that brings together the brightest and most promising young minds in our community.

“As we all know, February 25th and March 11th are very important dates in the history of our state, and indeed our nation. These are the days when we will be voting for our leaders, the people who will be responsible for the growth and development of our state and our country. And as we approach these important dates, I am here to urge all of you to vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates, particularly our Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our Governorship Candidate, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu.

“There is no doubt that the APC has done a lot in this country, and Lagos State, in particular. Our Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been a key player in the development of our democracy, and has played a significant role in the growth and progress of our state. He has built leaders and helped many people in need. He has also made significant investments in education and infrastructure, which have helped to transform Lagos into the economic hub of West Africa.

“Our Governorship Candidate, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwoolu, has also done a lot to develop Lagos, and has plans to take the state to another level. He has worked tirelessly to improve the lives of Lagosians, and has made significant investments in education, healthcare, and transportation. His vision for Lagos is bold and ambitious, and I have no doubt that he will deliver on his promises if re- elected.

“So I urge all of you, the youth of Etiosa, to vote for our APC candidates come February 25th and March 11th. But it is not enough to just vote for them, we need to support them in every way possible. You need to talk to your friends, neighbors, family, girlfriend, and even your enemies. Convince them to vote for our candidates and tell them about the good things that they have done for Lagos State and our country.

“But let us not forget that violence is not the answer. We need to shun violence during and after the elections. We need to ensure that the elections are peaceful and fair. So let us all come together and vote Asiwaju and Sanwoolu all the way.

“And to the youth of Etiosa, I want you to make a commitment today. I want you to tell me that you will deliver your street for Asiwaju and Sanwoolu, and all other APC candidates.

“I want you to promise me that you will do everything in your power to ensure that our candidates win”. Ahmed said.

One of the Keynote speakers at the summit Mr Mudeer Kolawole Shade said one thing is to have a PVC another thing is to mobilise others who also have it to use it and vote on election day for APC candidates without any iota of violence. In his words, he said;

“If you are fighting anyone, settle your dispute with them and canvass them for vote. I urge us to work for Asiwaju, we can get 1 million votes for him”. Kolawole concluded.
