Joyce Jackman celebrated her 102nd birthday on May 9 and credits her satisfying and happy life to a good time in the sack Sat’s the the secret to a long life is in the libido.
“Good sex and good sherry” are what UK native Jackson pinpoints as the keys to long-term satisfaction, telling the staff at her Essex care home that the combination has helped her live for more than a century.
The former Royal Air Force chef’s family celebrated her big day with her, with the centenarian gushing that she “didn’t want the day to end.”
“I had such a lovely day,” she told South West News Service.
“I can’t believe I’m 102,” she exclaimed. “It must be all the chocolate I eat that’s helped!”
When she was younger, Jackman worked in a candy store before joining the RAF as a cook during World War II.
She married her childhood sweetheart, Terence Jackman, in 1945 when the war ended, and the pair went on to live a happy life together.
The staff at Jackman’s care home love her spirit.

Although she never had children of her own, Jackman loved to help out looking after the kids in her neighborhood, recalling baking with her mother and going out with her friends.
The resident sweet tooth is a favorite at her facility — Care UK’s Silversprings, Thorrington — and still enjoys chocolatey treats and spends her days doing crossword puzzles and reading the newspaper.
“Joyce is a much-loved resident at the home,” home manager Joanne Rix said, adding that the staff is “privileged” to have her around. “She’s always making us laugh with her fantastic sense of humor and outlook on life.”
“It was wonderful to be part of her special day,” Rix added. “Here at Silversprings, we work hard to support residents to lead fulfilling lives, and celebrating special occasions and birthdays plays a huge part in this.”
The staff additionally found an appropriate way to further recognize her longevity.
“We were honored to raise a glass of sherry to Joyce’s incredible life so far.” (New York Post)
